Ultrafiltration Unit
Ultrafiltration is a highly efficient water purification process that uses special membrane filters to remove mechanical impurities, colloidal particles, bacteria and viruses from water without changing its chemical composition.
This method can be used both for drinking water purification and for wastewater treatment, as well as in more complex water treatment systems, such as pre-treatment before using the reverse osmosis method.
The ultrafiltration process is based on the principle of water passing through a membrane with pores that retain particles that exceed a certain size.
The removed contaminants accumulate on the membrane, and in order to clean it from these contaminants, it is washed on a regular basis, usually using the filtrate of the unit itself, however, in the case of heavy contaminants, it undergoes the process of chemical cleaning.
